FAITH Riders work at the Mayor's First Day Festival August 3rd
What a blessed day!!  The FAITH Riders manned a booth and volunteered for the Mayor's First Day Festival in downtown Nashville. Each child received a backpack with a notebook, pencils, pens, an apple and a bottle of water inside.  The volunteers had helped stuff the backpacks Thursday night prior to the festival.  Before the festival began, three FAITH Riders from Idlewild Baptist Church in Tampa, FL stopped by to say hello.  They are on their way to Sturgis.  After prayers they were on their way.  During the festival they helped pass out backpacks, offering directions and other duties.  While this was going on inside the Sommett Center, outside on the plaza, the FAITH Riders had two tents with 7 bikes on display.  During the festival members passed out book mark/rulers and pencils all imprinted with "Jesus Loves You" and Shelby Ave Baptist Church.  More pictures to follow.

FAITH Riders Mission to Bonnaroo
On Saturday June 14, the Shelby Ave. FAITH Riders traveled to Manchester Tennessee to help the First Baptist Church of Manchester with their work at Bonnaroo.  When we arrived at Bonnaroo we were met by Bill Gandy who gave us some pointers on ministering to the crowd.  In spite of our apprehension, eight of us spend the next six hours walking the campground, talking to people and sharing God's word.  We told people about the "More than Music" tent being sponsored by FBC Manchester.  In it, anyone could come in, enjoy the fans, and partake of fruit, snacks, juice and water, all for free. Everyone was welcome.  It was an awsome experience for everyone involved. Check out our photos below.

Overnight Ride to Birmingham, AL
On Saturday May 24th the Shelby Ave. FAITH Riders left Nashville for Birmingham AL.  It was a beautiful day (with no rain!!).  Five bikes made the trip (and one Dodge truck) to the Barber Motorsports Museum.  After touring the museum we spent the night in Birmingham.  The next morning, we visited the First Baptist Church of Pelham, AL for morning worship. God's love was very evident as we received a very warm welcome from everyone at the church.  The sermon was on being a "Good Samaritan", and we had the opportunity to practice being one on the way home.  Hopefully we'll have pictures up soon, so check back!!

Memorial Ride with Revolution MC
On April 6th, the Shelby Ave. F.A.I.T.H. Riders joined Revolution MC for a memorial ride.  The ride was in honor of one of their members, Drew Hanks, that died suddenly a year ago.  Although Revolution is made up mostly of sport bikes, they have a few members with "old school" bikes, like ours.

 F.A.I.T.H.Riders Commissioning Ceremony
23rd Chapter of F.A.I.T.H. Riders
November 11, 2007

Sunday November 11th 2007 was the most amazing, most humbling, and most exciting day this old guy has had in many many years. God is truly an Awesome GOD.The excitement you could feel from everyone in our church--members and visitors both was electrifying. I could feel God's hand on my shoulders through the whole ceremony. That is one day that we can say Shelby Ave Baptist Church was busting out it's windows and doors with the love of Jesus. Thanks to all who attended and all who have prayed for this ministry. It is truly sent from God and we must protect it and cherish each minute we spend as F.A.I.T.H.Riders always doing what will be pleasing to God and will bring lost souls to Christ.
God Bless You All
Love
Ricky Walker
Your Humble Director
